On August 5, the company plans to launch the Huawei Nova Flip. The main features of the foldable clamshell phone have been revealed by a Chinese tipster, one week before its release. There are rumours that the Huawei Nova Flip will include a 32-megapixel selfie camera and a 6.94-inch internal screen. According to reports, a Kirin 9 series chipset powers it. It is anticipated that the Huawei Nova Flip will have a 50-megapixel primary rear camera. The tipster claims that it might be powered by a 4,400mAh battery.
Before its release on August 6, the Huawei Nova Flip’s details were posted on Weibo by Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese). The foldable phone, according to the article, sports a 2.14-inch OLED cover display with a refresh rate of 60Hz and a 6.94-inch (1,136×2,690 pixels) OLED inner screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is rumoured to be powered by a 12GB RAM Kirin 9 series G platform.
It is anticipated that the forthcoming Huawei Nova Flip will come with storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. It might have two outward-facing cameras: an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor that can also be used as a macro camera, and a 50-megapixel 1/1.56-inch RYYB primary camera.
On the Nova Flip, Huawei is expected to include a 4,400mAh battery that supports 66W cable charging. When the phone is unfolded, the leather model is believed to be 6.88 mm thick (15.08 mm folded), however, the one with a glass rear panel may be 6.9 mm thin (15.12 mm folded). While the latter is predicted to weigh 199g, the former is reported to weigh 195g.
The company has previously declared that August 6 will mark the Nova Flip’s debut in China. There are hints that it will come in at least four colours. It will come as the first flip phone in the Nova series and is confirmed to ship with HarmonyOS software.
Other products on display at the August 5 launch event include the Huawei MateBook GT 14 and MatePad Pro 12.2.
