The British brand Mini, owned by the German automaker BMW, debuted the 2024 Cooper S hatchback and the Countryman Electric in the Indian market on Wednesday.
Countryman Electric Specifications
The Countryman Electric has a completely new appearance from the previous generation of cars, which is one of the most noticeable distinctions on the outside. Similar to the front end, it features integrated door handles, a clipped roof line, a bigger black rectangular air intake that doubles as the charge outlet, and newly designed polymer headlights with daytime running lights. The rear design includes a new, bulky-looking bumper and LED taillamps. The Countryman’s interior is quite minimalist, with a 9.7-inch centrally mounted display that replaces the traditional analog instrument cluster and a circular column that is separate from the body of the vehicle. This display gives all the necessary information. New vertically oriented slat air conditioning vents and dozens of physical buttons are also restored to the interior.
MINI Cooper S Specifications
The 2025 MINI Cooper S has three customizable LED DRL signatures and new round LED headlights with a reworked grille. The shape is mostly unaltered, but the external design is sleeker with flatter surfaces. The redesigned Union Jack-themed taillights are located on the back.
The Cooper S has a simple interior design. The center console is dominated by a sizable 9.4-inch infotainment display that doubles as an instrument console. Ahead of the steering wheel is a head-up display. Ambient illumination and the well-known toggle switches for various functions are still there.
Mini Cooper and Countryman Electric Launched Price
Prices for the Cooper S and Countryman Electric, ex-showroom, start at ₹44.90 lakh and ₹54.90 lakh, respectively. Though they do not directly compete with one another, the two vehicles will go up against the country’s current offerings of electric SUVs, such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.
