The Renault Duster, which has been in the headlines for a few months, has now made its world debut. The latest generation Renault Duster is now on sale in Turkey, which is the first market for it. Renault is utilizing its Turkish facility as the main centre for the manufacture of the new-generation Duster, which is why Turkey is the beginning point.
Styling and features
The new Renault Duster differs slightly from the Dacia Duster in terms of features and design. This particularly applies to the front fascia.
The Dacia Duster and the Renault Duster have many of the same dimensions. The length of the Renault Duster is 4,343 mm, and its wheelbase is 2,658 mm. The Dacia and Renault variants have between 209 and 217 mm of ground clearance.
A wide array of high-end features is available for the new Renault Duster in Turkey. Evolution and Techno are the two trim options available. Features including 17-inch wheels, LED lighting, and rear drum brakes are included in the lowest model. A 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system are located inside. Airbags on the front, side, and curtain sides, a rearview camera, cruise control, automated braking, roadside recognition, and lane departure warning are all included in the safety package.
The Duster Techno features an automated headlamp switching system, all-four disc brakes, and fog lights. Wireless charging and automatic climate control are included as standard features. Customers can choose from a large selection of optional features when opting for the Duster Techno version. These consist of a 360° surround vision camera, blind spot monitoring system, and 18-inch wheels. Heated seats and a steering wheel, inside LED lighting, hooks, and device holders are available as options for the cabin.
New-gen Renault Duster – Powertrain options
The engine choices for the Dacia Duster and Renault Duster are identical. A 1.0 TCe LPG engine with three cylinders powers base models. It is a dual fuel option that can run on propane or gasoline. HP is the maximum power output. Power is transferred to the front wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox that is linked to the engine. A fully functional front-wheel drive hybrid E-Tech powertrain is the second choice. It has a 1.6-liter normally aspirated petrol engine and an electric motor. Maximum power output is 145 horsepower.
The 2017 Duster’s third powertrain choice is a mild hybrid system with 130 horsepower. It sports a 48-volt starter-generator and a 1.2 TCe turbocharged petrol engine. The 6-speed manual transmission that comes with this powerplant is available. This powerplant will be offered in all-wheel drive Duster models. The latest generation Renault Duster does not come with a diesel engine option.
New Renault Duster on Road Pricing
The base model, which has a 1.0 TCe LPG engine, costs 1,249,000 Turkish Liras, or roughly Rs 32 lakh. The base price of the E-Tech hybrid range is 1,530,000 liras, or Rs 39 lakh. Starting at 1,580,000 liras (about Rs 40 lakh), the Duster is a moderate hybrid all-wheel drive vehicle.
In India, the next-generation Duster is anticipated to be released by Renault in 2025. It is possible that the India-spec model differs slightly from the international-spec model. Options for the powertrain are probably going to vary as well. The new generation Renault Duster will compete with well-liked models in the small SUV market.
