During the Redmi 13 5G’s Tuesday launch in India, the company formally revealed that the Redmi Pad Pro will be available later this month. The tablet, the newest model in Redmi’s line of HyperOS-powered tablet devices, debuted in China on May 20. Regarding the specifics of the Redmi Pad Pro variant available in India, the Chinese business, however, stayed silent. This happened months after the tablet was observed on the website of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
In China, the Redmi Pad Pro is currently on sale. It is unknown, nevertheless, if the tablet that is released in India will have comparable features.
A notable feature of the Redmi Pad Pro in China is its 12.1-inch LCD screen, which has a pixel density of 249 pixels per inch (ppi) and a resolution of 2560×1600. The display can sustain a maximum brightness of 600 nits and has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It is Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected on top and Dolby Vision certified. The 4-nanometer Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, which has a maximum clock speed of 2.4GHz, powers the Redmi Pad Pro. Up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage and up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM are matched with the chipset. Upgrading the storage to 1.5TB is possible. It is powered by Android 14-based Xiaomi HyperOS.
The Redmi Pad Pro’s optics consist of a single 8-megapixel camera on the back that can record 1080p video at 30 frames per second. The tablet has an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
The tablet is compatible with USB 2.0, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, and Miracast data transmission speeds. A 10,000mAh battery that supports up to 33W rapid charging via USB Type-C powers the Redmi Pad Pro. The dimensions of the tablet are 280.0 x 181.85 x 7.52 mm, and its weight is 571g.
