Vivo Launched it New Y Series In India With Latest Features – Vivo Y28s and Y28ehe Vivo Y28s and Y28e, the company’s newest low-cost 5G smartphones, were introduced in India. The new Vivo Y28 series phones have 6.56-inch LCD panels with a refresh rate of 90Hz and are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G SoCs with up to 8GB of RAM.
Vivo Y28s and Vivo Y28e Features
- Design & Display – The 6.56-inch LCD screen of the dual-SIM (Nano) capable Vivo Y28s and Vivo Y28e runs on Funtouch OS 14, which is based on Android 14. It has a peak brightness of 840 nits and is certified by TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light. While the latter is outfitted with an HD display, the former has a screen with HD+ resolution. With up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM on the Y28s, they are powered by a 6nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6100 5G processor. It is possible to increase the onboard memory to 16GB.
- Connectivity – The Vivo Y28s and Y28e have 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, Wi-Fi, and a USB Type-C port as connectivity options. There are several sensors on board, such as a proximity sensor, e-compass, accelerometer, and motor. For authentication, the Vivo Y28s has a fingerprint scanner positioned on the side. Their construction is water and dust resistant, with an IP64 rating.
- Camera – For optics, the Vivo Y28s has a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 primary sensor. On the front, it carries a 5-megapixel portrait camera for selfies and video calls. The Vivo Y28e’s camera unit includes a 13-megapixel main sensor. It has a 5-megapixel selfie shooter as well. Both phones support Super Night camera mode and Multi-style portrait mode for shooting in low-light and bright-light conditions.
- Battery – With 15W fast charging, the 5,000mAh battery powering the Vivo Y28s and Y28e is enhanced. Vivo guarantees the new phones’ batteries will last for four years. Thickness measures 8.38 mm.
Vivo Y28s and Vivo Y28e Price
The 4GB+128GB model of the Vivo Y28s costs Rs 13,999, the 6GB+128GB model costs Rs 15,499, and the 8GB+128GB model costs Rs 16,999.
The 4GB+128GB model of the Vivo Y28e costs Rs 11,999, while the 4GB+64GB model costs Rs 10,999.
The devices will be sold through partner retail locations, the Vivo India e-store, and Flipkart. While the Y28e ships in Vintage Red and Breeze Green, the Y28s is available in Vintage Red and Twinkling Purple.
